Scene 01: Aftermath
Motoko wakes up, immobile and confused.. Disorganized flashes and memories.. As she opens her eyes, she realizes it is night, and there is a heavy mist, after rain. She is sitting by a ventilation shaft hundreds of feet above the ground on the roof of an old building in New Shinjuku City… Though she is already some fifty stories high, the surrounding buildings tower up yet well above sight through the night time mist. What happened to her? Where and who is she? Why doesn’t she remember?
Scene 02: Fragmented Memory
Images start flashing in Motoko’s head. She is by a river, just outside of the city, dark clouds announcing an imminent coming storm… The city scape fills the sky on the other side of the river. She is holding a heavy artillery blast rifle.. Why is she there? It seems so peaceful there, but there is a sense of imminent danger.. a nearby threat, waiting to happen… This is but one of the random memory fragments flowing through her consciousness as she tries to regain her center. She must run a self-repair diagnostic and rebuild the broken elements found in recent memory.
Scene 03: The Cyborg Factor
Suddenly, Motoko’s view of the city is overlaid with information panels, each building clearly identified, owners, operators, existing case file data.. She’s been cyberized, like most citizens trying to survive the aftermath of “The Big One” which left the land uninhabitable to biologicals. File time indicators show memory corruption started several days ago according to current clock.
Scene 04: Restore From Cloud
Motoko’s self-repair diagnostics bring in Images of people she knew, or must have known… But the images are fuzzy.. intermixed with random contents of datastreams no doubt bleeding into her consciousness due to what appears as damage she might have sustained to her cybernetic brain implants
Scene 05: Investigation
Memories of what must have been in Motoko’s last mission come into focus.. She is tracking down suspects.. Trying to find who may have been behind the last attack on the HQ systems.. An attack that had grave consequences, for herself, her team...
